Patricia Miranda

As part of an ongoing collaborative project, Patricia Miranda creates monumental textile sculpture and installations built from community stories. These site-responsive works speak to the history of domestic and environmental labor through the complex feminine form of lace and the use of visceral natural dyes. The lace wall and sculptural installations are created from donated, found, and re-purposed textile.

Patricia Miranda received a BFA in Sculpture with a minor in Women’s Studies from The State University of New York, Purchase College, Purchase, NY and an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts, Montpelier, VT.
