January 25-February 24, 2019
Opening Reception and Artist Talk: Friday, January 25 at 6-7:30 p.m.
Peter Barbor and Kate Roberts explore the medium of ceramics and mixed media installations. Both artists experiment with unfired clay and explore its metaphorical potential to describe the passage of time, history, and the forces of nature. Barbor creates human-scale figurative sculptures that capture the momentary intersection of past and present. Roberts large-scale architectural pieces examine the temporary physicality of objects or ideas.
Peter Barbor received his BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, RI and his MFA from the University of Washington, Seattle, WA. Kate Roberts received both her BFA and MFA from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University, Alfred, NY.
