Using charcoal and ink on paper, Christopher Troutman creates large-scale drawings that depict synthesized compositional narratives. The visual accounts of figures set in contemporary environments are viewed from unexpected vantage points in order to reveal the latent interest of everyday graphic experiences. In addition, Troutman’s multi-sectional compositions juxtapose imagery from his time spent in the United States and Japan.

Living seasonally in Japan, Christopher Troutman resides and works in Beaumont, TX. Troutman received his MFA from California State University Long Beach, Long Beach, CA and his BFA from Bradley University, Peoria, IL.
