Challenging viewers to interpret the spaces they inhabit as well as to remain attentive to the imprints they leave behind, Kylie Ford creates large scale installations from repurposed or simulated materials from the Appalachian region of West Virginia. Cutting, shifting, manipulating, and reassembling, Ford constructs amassed objects significant to locations composing the conglomerated landscapes of her many transitory homes within the region.
Kylie Ford is Assistant Professor of Art and J.D. Brooks Gallery Director at Fairmont State University, Fairmont, WV. Ford received a BA Ed. in Art Education and BA in Studio Art from Fairmont University plus an MFA in Studio Art from Maine College of Art,
